Usk Tennis Club caters for juniors for all ages and standards. As well as offering a full coaching programme we offer opportunities to our juniors to put their coaching experience into practice by entering them into tournaments such as mini tennis club league. Friday evening is dedicated junior night, which is topped off with the popular matchplay sessions. This allows the juniors to socialise through tennis in a safe and friendly environment.
The junior section is the most rapidly expanding areas of the club. Ros Hawke was recently appointed as the junior development officer to aid the head coach in increasing playing standards and events available to the juniors.
The junior section has just launched The Usk Coaching Assistants Scheme. The scheme aims to recruit juniors to assist the head coach delivering lessons at Usk Tennis Club. In return assistants can expect a great insight into tennis coaching from an LTA licensed coach and LTA Coaching qualifications courses subsidised by the club.
