CRB Checking
Child Protection Policy

As part of the responsibilities of the Tennis club, Health and Safety is paramount in creating a safe environment for all participants both on and off the court. We need to ensure that every member, especially children, should be able to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse.

This is a responsibility of every member involved within our tennis club and we need to recognise the responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying.

Pete Hawke is our Child Protection Officer and almost all of you have submitted a Self Declaration form (SDF). These are being kept safely.  We need to keep records of all our members through the SDF’s .
The LTA’s guidelines for those individuals working or having regular contact with children indicate that they should complete a CRB form. These can be obtained by ordering from the LTA website. We hope to continue to ensure that our club complies with legislation and that there is a safe environment for all our members, especially the Juniors.

If you have any questions relating to this issue, please don’t hesitate to contact Pete on
