As part of the responsibilities of the netball club, Health and Safety is paramount in creating a safe environment for all participants both on and off the court. We need to ensure that every member, especially children, should be able to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse.
This is a responsibility of every member involved within our netball club and we need to recognise the responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying.
Cathy Waterworth is our Child Protection Officer and almost all members have submitted a Self Declaration form (SDF).
The LTA’s guidelines for those individuals working or having regular contact with children indicate that they should complete a CRB form. These can be obtained by ordering from the LTA website. We will continue to ensure that our club complies with legislation and that there is a safe environment for all our members, especially the juniors.
If you have any questions relating to this issue, please don’t hesitate to contact Cathy on 07973 688759.
