Weekend washout for Usk

On Saturday no play was possible in either Usk’s first team game away to St Fagans or the second’s match at home to the same oppoenents. With Wales Minor Counties using the Athletic Club Ground, Usk had no match either on Sunday.

After a weekend off Usk’s cricketers face a hectic schedule this weekend; on Saturday the first team host Blackwood, whilst the seconds travel to take on their second eleven counterparts. On Sunday Usk’s entertain Newport in the 3rd Round of the Welsh Cup. Usk, 2007 winners, will be looking to wreak revenge on last year’s eventual winners, who knocked them out of last year’s competition. To complete the fixtures for the weekend an Usk 3rd Team will also be playing on Sunday a friendly away to Llanvapley. Saturday’s games begin at 1pm and Sunday’s at 2pm.
