Triple success for Usk this weekend

On Saturday Usk’s first and second teams earned comfortable victories over their respective Abergavenny counterparts; then on Sunday a Usk third eleven won a friendly match against Attock

Mixed fortunes for Usk

In a complete reversal of fortunes from the previous weekend, the first team were thrashed by 10 wickets at neighbours Croesyceiliog, whilst the seconds won by 9 wickets against Chepstow.

Usk gain revenge on holders Newport in cup

On a hot weekend in South Wales, Usk first team had a weekend to remember as they thrashed Blackwood in the league on Saturday before eliminating local rivals from the Welsh Cup on Sunday. In contrast the second team had a day to forget as they were beaten heavily in Blackwood, although on Sunday the third eleven restored some pride with a friendly victory away to Llanvapley.

Weekend washout for Usk

On Saturday no play was possible in either Usk’s first team game away to St Fagans or the second’s match at home to the same oppoenents. With Wales Minor Counties using the Athletic Club Ground, Usk had no match either on Sunday.
