Usk finish season with Twycross double-header

With all their league matches completed, Usk entertained Leicestershire tourists Twycross on both Saturday and Sunday to finish off the season

Mixed results for Usk on final league weekend

The league season finished on a low for Usk first team as they went down at Blackwood by 92 runs. It was a different story back at the Athletic Club Ground, as the seconds beat the same opponents by 6 wickets. On Sunday, Usk thirds played a Russ Carter XI in what ended up being a Thirty30 Challenge, the visitors winning by 5 wickets

James’ all-round heroics help to defeat league champions

Usk’s cricketers only had matches on the Saturday with the firsts beating 2008 champions, Sully, by 82 runs at home. Meanwhile down in Sully, the seconds put up a brave fight, before going down by 4 wickets to the same opponents

Usk Bank Holiday Action

Inconsistency seems to be the problem for Usk at present. Both the first and second teams walked away from the Bank Holiday weekend with a win and a loss. On Saturday, the firsts lost away to Abergavenny by 59 runs, whilst the seconds crushed the same opponents at home by 160 runs. On Monday, the firsts this time beat St Fagans at home by 112 runs whilst the seconds went down away by 105 runs
