Holders get knocked out of Welsh Cup
On Sunday Usk entertained Newport at the Athletic Club Ground. Newport, who had knocked Usk out of the Macey Cup, just a week earlier, completed something of a cup double by eliminating the Welsh Cup holders in only the 4th round of the competition.

Juniors at the club are defined as anyone under the age of 18 at the beginning of the season.
Matches:
For the 2008 season Usk will be entering five juniors sides into league competitions, and three into shield competitions. Sides representing Usk will be drawn form the following age groups: U-9s, U-11s, U-13s, U-15s. Fixtures and start times will be announced during the season, so watch this space.
To bridge the gap between adult and junior cricket Usk select juniors of 16 years of age or above in the 3rd team to give them exposure to adult cricket. Some of the more talented juniors will even be elevated to the 2nd or even 1st XIs.
